The Christian Hope – He Is Coming Again In Glory

Jesus will come again in glory to judge the earth and finally establish the Kingdom of God.
... and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. (Hebrews 9:28)
What do we have to do?
God invites us to turn back to him by committing our lives to Jesus Christ as our Saviour and Lord (2 Corinthians 5:20).
To trust Jesus as our Saviour means that we gratefully receive all he has done for us, and place our hope in his coming again. We cannot earn acceptance with God - we can only receive forgiveness as a gift of his love. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
To trust Jesus as our Lord means that we seek to put him - his teaching, his example and his guidance - at the centre of our lives. He said, "Seek first the Kingdom of God" (Matthew 6:33).
We must open our hearts to Jesus and
commit our
lives to him (1 Peter 3:15).
We must be baptised as the sign of our belonging to Jesus and to the family of the Church (Galatians 3:26-28).
We must live out our faith in Jesus as
we seek to worship God and serve him,
with the help of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 12:1-2).
Jesus invites us to trust him and follow him -
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
(Matthew 11:28-29)
