Good Friday – He Died On The Cross For Our Sins
Jesus was opposed by the religious authorities
of his day who had him executed. But through his death and suffering love, he paid the price for our sins, so that we can be forgiven and reconciled with God.
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. (1 John 4:10)
Easter Sunday – He Rose From The Dead
Jesus came to destroy the power of death and darkness. God raised him from the dead on the first Easter Sunday. His resurrection marks the beginning of God’s new creation. When Jesus comes again in glory, those who trust in him will also be raised from the dead, and will be with him in God’s presence forever.
But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. (1 Corinthians 15:20)
Pentecost – He Sent The Gift Of The Holy Spirit
The Spirit makes God’s presence felt in our lives, helps us grow as followers of Jesus, and empowers us to live for God
God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. (Romans 5:5)
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses... (Acts 1:8)
